Rehmannia is also known as Rehmania glutinosa, Chinese foxglove, Sheng Di, Sheng Ti Huang, Shu Ti Huang, Ti Huang, Ti Huang Chiu, yellow earth, prepared rehmannia root, Xian-di-huang. The birthplace of this herb with large flowers is China. It is also grown in Vietnam, Japan and Korea. This is a perennial herbaceous plant 10-30 cm high. The whole plant is covered with soft gray-white hairs. The roots are fleshy with light bark. The leaves are collected in a basal rosette. The flowers are large, almost white. Fruits are egg-shaped capsules with numerous seeds.
