Description

Mistletoe (Viscum album) is a perennial evergreen plant that parasitizes on the branches of many deciduous, rarely conifers. Stems are 30-100 cm long, green or brownish green at the bottom, forming a spherical bush. Leaves are sessile, opposite, arranged in pairs at the ends of branches, leathery, thick, pale green. Flowers are unisexual, nondescript, yellowish-green. The fruit is a false spherical or slightly oblong, juicy, one- or two-seeded berry. The seed is large, grayish-white, heart-shaped or oval-heart-shaped.
